The General validation options relate to automated validation.
Auto validate on save |
This option, when set, will validate the form each time it is stored. This applies when any of the Save, Save As or Export commands are used. |
Auto validate current field |
When this option is set, the content of the field is validated when the focus leaves the field. If the field value is erroneous, errors are reported in the Error List. |
The Reporting validation options relate to how validation errors are reported.
Report empty mandatory fields |
If this option is set, empty mandatory fields are reported as missing fields. |
