Default Values

A default value might be defined for the field either in the Field Template Settings or in the schema. The default value is inserted when the field is created.

For a composite field default values can be specified both for the elements and for the composite field. If a default value is specified for an element of a composite field the field is created expanded and the defaults for the elements are inserted.
