The fields of a section are shown in the Form Area when the section is shown. However, the fields can be hidden either if the field is optional or if it is specified as hidden in the Field Template Settings.
Optional fields can be automatically hidden in simple sections when there is no data in them, see IRIS Forms Options for details on how to set this option.
A field may also be hidden from the Form Area, if it is defined in the Field Template Settings.
To show the fields hidden by the field template settings:
Toggle Hidden Fields on in the File menu
Toggling Hidden Fields on shows all hidden fields both the ones specified as hidden in the template settings and the hidden empty optional fields.
To hide the fields hidden by the field template settings:
Toggle Hidden Fields off in the File menu
Toggling Hidden Fields off only hides the fields specified as hidden in the template settings.
If all the fields of a section are hidden the section is by default also hidden in the Table of Contents.
Note that in IRIS WebForms this feature is only available to administrators.
