Code Quick Centennial Read Me 1. Be sure you load the software program during the first three days, as the 32 character unlock key you were sent will not work after that time. A dialogue box will open the first time you click on “Start Code Quick Software” from the opening page. If you need another for some reason, please e-mail us at cq2kcom@yahoo.com. 2. The icon on your desktop reads “Cody Morris” to distinguish it from earlier versions of Code Quick that you may have also running. 3. The e-book is your guide to using this program. Please be sure you open it first and leave an icon for it on your desktop for easy reference. It is divided into days 1-30 with lessons to accomplish each day. Follow it carefully as it will tell you when to use audio files and when to use the software. 4. Be sure to accomplish 90% accuracy on each day’s lessons before moving along. Since every user’s time availability differs, it is better to fall behind on the daily schedule than to fail to accomplish each task successfully. Our time frame is for the ideal three sessions per day and an hour each time. This schedule will result in the most efficient learning, but feel free to schedule your use the segments as your schedule permits. Try not to skip any lesson segments as they are laid out in a precise order purposely. 5. You may use your audio files (MP3 format) by placing them on your desktop, by placing them into a USB Zip drive or by burning CDs. If they are located in your computer, they open from your software program, or you may use them in most newer CD players. Users often load them into iPod, PDA or cell phones. (Consult your product user’s manual) Having them in several media players will make them readily accessible wherever you are. If you want to burn CDs, simply place each of the 5 “Disks” of files one at a time into your CD or DVD writer folder. (Not all PCs have a DCR drive. This process will not work if you have a “read only” CD drive. Right click on the Start button in your lower toolbar and choose “Explore.” Do that a second time to open two explorer windows. Find you audio segments files and select “Disk 1” in one window. Push your left mouse button down on the icon, hold it and push it into the other explorer window in the CD or DVD Writer directory. Usually this is labeled “D” or “E.” Finally, right mouse click in the window and click, “Burn to CD.” You will be instructed to place a new CD in the drawer. Label it “Code Quick 2 Disk X.” 6. Although you are free to explore other functions of your software, the letters are taught in sequence so you should follow the book. 7. There is a fairly extensive “Help” file in your program.
