In addition, four things will be different from a registered version. 1. The Headers that are transmitted will contain the text "Demo Version". 2. Received and Transmitted pictures will be marked with this same text. 3. The CW station ID will be disabled. 4. You will be restricted to the default header image. In addition to the Help file, a complete manual is included in a file called "WinPix32 Manual.pdf". This file requires an Adobe Acrobat Reader. This reader can be downloaded free from the web at ---- http://www.adobe.com The program can automatically load two instances at startup. It can also automatically load the Thumbnail Library Manager. You can enable or disable these options in the Options/Other Options menu item. It is important that you complete all of the steps in the "Getting Started" portion of the Help file. Please use the About box to verify that your video card is set for either High Color or True Color. If it is not, use the Windows Start/Settings/Display to change it. Even if you have already calibrated the sound card using WinPix Pro (16-bit version), you must recalibrate using WinPix32 before the program will allow you to transmit. ___________________________________ Additional Features since 3.0 ---- SEE the Help file for details. 1. You can now crop a picture with an ellipse and rounded rectangle as well as a rectangle. 2. You can crop a picture with an irregular shape. 3. Ten headers are selectable. Nine of these can be edited to your liking. 4. Time and Date information can be coded into the header. 5. You can quickly select from a list of your twelve favorite fonts. The list can be altered by replacing any of the fonts with any of the fonts available on your computer. 6. You can draw irregular lines on pictures. 7. Text and Drawing can be added in a transparent form. 8. Multiple lines of text can now be typed by using "Enter" for the line. 9. The TextList now supports multiple lines of text. 10. Synch Start status will now be remembered between pictures. 11. Your sound card clock can now be calibrated using WWV transmissions. 12. If needed, the Thumbnail Library Manager will Sort and Refresh a library at the time it is opened. 13. The program now supports both the Call Identification system developed by KA1LPA and that used by ChromaPix. 14. A MINI-LOG is attached to the Receive Dialog box with automatic recording of call signs identified by either CID system (above). Duplicate ID's from the same day are not added to the log. 15. Additional short cut keys are available for assisting transmit and receive. 16. The program now supports Full Duplex sound cards. This can be used to calibrate the transmit clock if different from the receive clock. It allows you to transmit while receiving (even in the same instance). 17. The Spectrum Display in the Receive dialog has been improved. VERSION 3.6 18. An Edit Menu item has been added to allow you to clear the contents of the clipboard. 19. A button has been added to the MINI-LOG dialog box to delete ALL of the log entries. 20. You can now add both a PREFIX or a SUFFIX to your registered call for portable operation. 21. When the first instance of the program is loaded, the Receive Mode will start automatically. VERSION 3.7 22. A "Slide Show" has been added to the Library Manager to facilitate viewing the digital pictures in a library. This is particularly useful for viewing higher resolution pictures in "full screen" size. EXIT FROM A SLIDE SHOW IS VIA ---- Left Mouse Double Click. 23. The order of pictures within a library can be changed using a "Manual Sort" mode. This facilitates making a slide show presentation based on picture content. 24. Access to remote libraries archived on a CD-R is now allowed. Prior versions required the remote media to be both "Read" and "Write". 25. The text size in the "Contest/DX" picture transmission has been increased for ease in reading. VERSION 3.8 26. The key strokes used for displaying the "Slide Show" have changed. The LEFT mouse button is now used to send the picture being viewed to WinPix32. 27.
