On the "Tests" page you can move around the current test using the "VCR" style keys. You can also use PageUp and PageDown keys as well as the Home and End keys. To select an option in a test you can click on it or press A,B,C,D on the keyboard or select one of the A,B,C,D buttons. You can use "Cheat mode" in a test in the initial stages. Select the "Show correct option..before selection" in the Preferences page. Later, you can switch to "Don't show" in the Preferences page. You can see all of the questions in the question pool. Go to the question pool page and select the "Browse all" tab then go to the tests page and click "New test". In the trial version you get a limited selection of questions. In the licensed version you get all of the FCC questions for any license class that you have purchased. You can get an explanation of any correct answer. When viewing a question just click on the "Explain" button and a help window will display some comments on the current question. For help on the NuTest program you can press the Help button. You can press the Formula button to get some useful reference information. You have access to the FCC Part 97 rules. You can view them by pressing the "FCC Part 97" button or by clicking on any "Part 97" link that is in a help window. The auto review feature tags the answers you have given in the current test. Use the VCR keys to go back and review them. You can change your mind and select a different answer. Select "Auto review" on the Preferences page to activate this feature. If a pop-up diagram is too small then you can resize it by dragging the bottom right corner with your mouse. You can also print the diagram, click on the print button in the top left corner of the pop-up. To print a sheet containing all diagrams go to the Print page. Make sure the "Items to print" group only has Diagrams selected, then click "Print a test" To automatically store test results go to the Progress page and check the "Record previous test results and missed questions...." option. You can get NuTest to avoid showing the same questions over and over. Check the "Questions answered correctly are not used again" option in the Question Pool page. You can customise your own tests. On the Question pool page there is a "Contents of question pool" chart. Right click on the chart items to switch required test sections on or off. On the Progress page bar chart you can click on any bar to get a performance summary for any recorded test that is shown on the progress chart. You can customise many of the colors used in NuTest. Go to the Preferences page and select an item from the Appearance group drop-down list. Click the "Choose color" button and select a color. In the color selector click the "Define custom colors" button for access to a vast range of different colors. You can increase the font size of the on-screen tests. Go to the Preferences page and select the Font size in the Size control.. You can produce printed tests that are similar to the real test. Go to the Print page, select in the "Items to print" group and then press the "Print" or "Print Preview" buttons. Click "New test" on the Print page to make sure that each printed test is different. You can check if your selected question pool is due for an update. Go to the Question pool page. In the "Contents of question pool" chart select the topmost item whch will be "ELEMENT 2", "ELEMENT 3" or "ELEMENT 4". Now check the "Contents of selected question pool item" area.
